Ipswich Town Official History DVD
Duration: approx 100 minutes.
Ipswich Town Football Club has a proud history. Including the successful eras of Alf Ramsey, Bobby Robson all the way to the modern era and the appointment of Jim Magilton.
Founded as an amateur side in 1878, Town turned professional in 1936 and the Blues boast an impressive record of achievements at the highest level. Before winning the World Cup with England in 1966, Alf Ramsey really put Portman Road on the map when his 1962 team became champions in Town’s first season in the top flight.
There was more glory to follow when Bobby Robson’s golden era was crowned by winning the FA Cup in 1978 and the UEFA Cup in 1981.
This exclusive programme highlights all the Blues greatest achievements – including the promotion winning seasons of 1991/92 under John Lyall and George Burley’s Wembley winners in 2000.
As well as the action the Ipswich Town History DVD includes rare footage, exclusive interviews and behind-the-scenes material previously unseen on TV or DVD. Even Hollywood star Michael Caine makes an appearance talking about the movie Escape to Victory which featured John Wark, Kevin Beattie, Russell Osman and other Ipswich stars.
