Steve Walsh made a fairytale return to the side. After missing most of the season with an injury, he scored both goals in a remarkable Wembley fightback.
This was a campaign packed with heroes. Julian Joachim once again hit the headlines. New signings David Speedie and Iwan Roberts formed a formidable strike partnership. While Ian Ormondroyd won a new army of fans.
In a nail-biting end to the promotion race, Little’s marvels overcame a nightmare injury crisis to earn their place in the Play-Offs with a nine-match unbeaten run.
