Alan Shearer scored a hat-trick on his full debut for Southampton in a 4-2 win over Arsenal in 1988. Just 17 years, 240 days that made him the yougest player to hit a treble in English football’s top division. Shearer went on to play for Blackburn Rovers, where he won the Premier League in 1995, and his boyhood heroes Newcaste United. His tally of 148 goals in 303 games makes him Newcastle’s record goalscorer. A prolific striker for England with 30 goals in 63 games, Shearer has made his name as a television pundit since retiring from playing in 2006.
